About Iyengar Yoga
The Iyengar method is initatially learnt through the in-depth study of asanas (posture) & pranayama (breath control). Mr. Iyengar has systematized over 200 classical Asanas & 14 different types of Pranayamas (with variations of many of them) from the simple to the incredibly difficult. These have been structured & categorized so as to allow a beginner to progress surely & safely from basic postures to the most advanced as they gain flexibility, strength & sensitivity in mind, body & spirit.

Teacher's Training
The Iyengar Yoga Centre Singapore offers a two-year Teacher Training Program.

- The fundamentals of asanas and pranayamas(Posture & Breath)
- Practice and principles of teaching asanas and pranayams
- Yoga History, philosophy and ethics
- Basic adjustments and use of props
- Study of human anatomy and physiology
